Reflecting upon this milestone, Antonio reminisces, “After so many months of effort, sewing, and design, three of my designs were able to parade in the show, and later be published in the media and magazines.”

While his palette may not scream color, it resonates with a depth that challenges conventional norms. “I think it’s much more interesting that some garments follow shapes that do not adapt to the body and that create a new, different anatomical silhouette,” he affirms, highlighting his penchant for androgynous designs.
His collection, steeped in understated elegance, captures the essence of Andalusian life and traditions. “This chromatic range emerges and takes inspiration from the everyday elements that we find in our day-to-day,” he shares. Artists like Georgia O’Keeffe and Remedios Varo, known for their evocative works, play muse to Antonio. Their nuanced artistry, coupled with a unique color balance, shape Antonio’s designs, ensuring a harmonious “attractive visual balance.”
Antonio’s garments, characterized by their intricate details, are accentuated by internal metal structures. Speaking about these structures, Antonio reveals, “The internal metal structures are essential to give volume, fit, and support the weight of these heavy garments.”

To Antonio, “the body is our own house.” He brings this concept to life by ingeniously repurposing home textiles, like sheets and curtains, for his Autumn-Winter collection.
His nod to traditional corsetry, interwoven with androgynous designs, lends a timeless charm to his pieces. This fusion results in garments that echo the “androgynous and spatial era of the 60s.”
