UDIT (Universidad de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología) is a private university in Madrid dedicated to design, innovation and technology. It became a university in 2023, building on more than 20 years as ESNE, a university school of design.

About the university

The Community of Madrid recognised UDIT as a private university in Law 2/2022 of 1 March, and authorised it to start teaching from the 2023/24 academic year. It grew out of ESNE, the Escuela Universitaria de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología.

The degrees announced when the university was approved included Fashion Design alongside video-game design, multimedia and graphic design, interior design, product design, sustainable design, innovation and digital economy, and animated film.

Fashion at UDIT

UDIT shows its fashion design students’ collections on its own runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, and IFEMA describes this as its eleventh consecutive year.

Notable alumni

Paloma Suárez, founder of the Paloma Suárez brand, is an alumna of UDIT’s fashion design degree.

She presented her collection at the 81st Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
