Editor’s pick
AMFI is the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, part of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. It describes itself as the largest fashion institute in the Netherlands.
About the school
AMFI was formed in 1992 through the merger of two institutes with roots in the early 1950s: HTS Meester Koetsier, a technical and commercial school, and Academy Charles Montaigne, founded in 1951 as a private school for couture and later styling. It took the name Amsterdam Fashion Institute in 2002.
AMFI says it is the only fashion institute in the Netherlands that covers the whole fashion chain, from design to branding and business.

The bachelor’s programme offers three graduation specialisations: Fashion & Branding, Fashion & Business and Development, and Fashion & Design. It is taught in English and in Dutch.
iNDiViDUALS is AMFI’s in-house fashion studio, established in 2006. It brings together students from the design, branding, and business and development departments.
