Birzeit University
Birzeit University is a public university in the West Bank. Fashion is taught as an emphasis within the Bachelor of Design in its Faculty of Art, Music and Design.
About the school
Birzeit was founded in 1924 as an elementary school for girls and became a university in 1975. It is the first higher education institution established in Palestine. The Faculty of Art, Music and Design launched in 2018–19 as the university’s ninth faculty, with programmes in Arabic Music, Contemporary Visual Art and Design.
Fashion
The interdisciplinary Bachelor of Design gives students a foundation in art and offers three emphases: product design, graphics and multimedia design, and fashion and textile design, with relevance to the Palestinian context. There is no separate fashion degree.
