Design School Kolding is a public design school in Denmark with fashion, textile and accessory design departments. It was founded in 1967 and became a university-level institution in 2010.

About the school

The school opened in August 1967 as the Kunsthåndværkerskolen, the School of Arts and Crafts, with a textiles programme covering printing and weaving and an advertising programme. It expanded over the years, added accessory design for shoes, bags and jewellery after the 2014 Finance Bill, and has just under 350 active students. It says two final projects by its students are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.

Fashion

The English-language master’s lets students specialise in Design for People, Design for Planet or Design for Play, with a professional cluster in fashion, textile or accessory design.
