Hoa Sen University
Hoa Sen University is a private university in Ho Chi Minh City. Its Faculty of Design – Arts teaches fashion design and, with France’s Mod’Art International, fashion business.
About the school
Hoa Sen University was founded in 2006, growing from Hoa Sen College, and is supported by a Lotus Association in France. Its Faculty of Design – Arts offers majors in Graphic Design, Digital Art, Interior Design, Fashion Design and media production and management, with curricula built on those of French universities.
Fashion
The Bachelor of Fashion Design has been coordinated with Mod’Art International in Paris, and Hoa Sen says students can learn from Mod’Art lecturers. Courses include fashion illustration, pattern making, menswear and a fashion design project, and the programme has been certified under AUN-QA. Each year graduating students stage the Fashion Creation show; the first bachelor’s cohort, known as TK09, held its graduation show after four years. The university also runs a Fashion Business major with a French partner.
