About the school
The school was established in 1983 as the Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, after the designer Shannon Rodgers and apparel manufacturer Jerry Silverman gave the university a gift to create a fashion school and a museum. It has been named an Ohio Center of Excellence by the state Board of Regents.
Fashion
The school teaches fashion design and fashion merchandising, with a minor in fashion media and a graduate programme. Students can use the TechStyleLAB, which has digital design and production technology, and the museum collection. Student collections have been shown at New York Fashion Week.
