University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP)
DAAP is the University of Cincinnati’s design, architecture, art and planning college. Its School of Design offers a five-year BS in Fashion Design built around co-op work placements.
About the college
DAAP was reorganised into four schools in 1979 to form the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. It is part of the University of Cincinnati, whose co-operative education model was first conceived in its College of Engineering in 1906.
Fashion
The Fashion Design BS takes five years (minimum 122 credits). All fashion design majors take part in the UC Co-op Program, with the chance to work full time in the industry for five full semesters. The School of Design also offers a Fashion Studies minor, and graduating students present collections in an annual fashion show.

Recognition
The university says it is a top five university for co-ops and internships in the U.S. News Best Colleges rankings. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, the University of Cincinnati was in the 151–200 band for Art & Design, a university-wide ranking that is not fashion-specific.
