Editor’s pick
Vilnius Academy of Arts (Vilniaus dailės akademija, VDA) is Lithuania’s state university for art, design and architecture. Its Fashion Design department was founded in 1991.
About the school
VDA traces its roots to 1793, when a Department of Architecture was set up at the University of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It has campuses in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Telšiai and more than 1,800 students.
Fashion
The Fashion Design department, formerly Costume Design, split from the Textile department in 1991. The four-year BA in Fashion Design is taught in Lithuanian and English, and the department works with clothing companies so students can test their skills during their studies.
