Festina Bekteshi
BA Fashion Design

Festina Bekteshi is an Albanian fashion design student based in Germany. Her creative practice is driven by curiosity and a desire to explore inspiration from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and visual influences, translating them into contemporary design expressions.
Her design approach combines experimentation with a strong interest in materiality, particularly through fabric manipulation and unconventional textile techniques. Deconstruction plays an essential role in her creative process, allowing her to challenge traditional forms, rethink silhouettes, and explore new perspectives on garment construction. Through the interplay of texture, structure, and form, she aims to create designs that feel both distinctive and modern.
DPS (2025)
DPS reinterprets schoolwear through denim, layering and reconstruction. During the creative development, second-hand garments were combined and deconstructed to explore silhouettes, shapes and proportions. The final collection, however, is crafted exclusively from denim, transforming familiar collegiate and sportswear pieces into new silhouettes.
Inspired by the layered aesthetics of the 2000s, garments are deconstructed, combined and reconstructed into single pieces with unexpected proportions and textures. Through upcycling and textile manipulation, denim is pushed beyond its conventional use.
Blending collegiate nostalgia with raw streetwear influences, DPS explores the space between the classroom and the street.
