Thevindi Dihara

Hi, I’m Thevindi Dihara, a multidisciplinary designer.
My work is always curated following a single quote: “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” – Coco Chanel.
To me, that means authenticity first, and consistent maintenance in quality. Every piece I create is made with intention, I hold myself to a standard where nothing is made without purpose or value.
I recently completed my BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and Marketing at Northumbria University (Aod).
My practice blends digital craft (CLO 3D, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) with the inclusion of hands-on, artisanal methods like crocheting/knitting.
I’m also the founder of D-rmar, a high-end lifestyle and streetwear brand built on individuality, celebration of diversity and culture, ensuring lasting quality.

Alter Egos (2026)

The ‘Alter Egos’ collection is a response against identity suppression, as authenticity had dissolved in a world driven by overconsumption and fleeting trends driving societal norms. The collection draws from  and celebrates six diverse subcultures/ archetypes inspired by the “village people” band. The collection challenges and encourages one’s alter ego to come to life. Here, diversity is a solid foundation and reminder that authenticity looks different on every alter ego. It’s both an invitation and statement to embrace your differences.
